Class 1 Division 2 Lighting
Class 1, Division 2 (C1D2) lighting is designed for environments where flammable gases, vapors, or liquids are not usually present in explosive concentrations but may exist under abnormal conditions. These explosion-proof fixtures balance safety and functionality in areas where flammable substances could occur due to accidental rupture, breakage, or faulty operation of a closed system.
RIG-A-LITE lighting fixtures are classified according to National Electrical Code (NEC) standards. For international projects, these classifications align with IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) Zones, ensuring compatibility and safety: Class I, Division 2 (NEC) is equivalent to Zone 2 (IEC).
